Q Cornwall Veterans League Division 2 winners, Millbrook, wrapped up their league campaign with a comfortable home win over bottom club Kernow Wanderers. Goals from top scorer Brian Stacey (2), James Gant (2), Richard Gibson, Peter Ireland, Nick Mann and Lee Medlin saw them cruise to an 8-0 victory. It means the home side finish their league campaign with maximum points having gone unbeaten all season and the Kernow Wanderers players afforded their hosts a guard of honour at the final whistle as they collected the Division 2 shield presented by league general secretary, Mike Hinks. Millbrook’s inaugural season in veterans’ football doesn’t end there with two cup finals to look forward to. On 12th May they face probably their stiffest test of the season in the League Cup Final when they take on Division 1 champions Perranporth at Lux Park. The game kicks off at 2pm immediately after the Supplementary Cup Final which will be contested by Callington Town and Downderry Rovers with an 11am ko. A week later Bude Town face Millbrook in the Knockout Cup Final at Rally Park, Lanreath with the game kicking off at 11am.
