Match report supplied by Steve James (St Agnes Bolsters)

The Enys Parc pitch had held up after heavy overnight rain for this all Division 1 League Cup tie. Both teams started off well, but Downderry were definitely out the traps quicker, moving the ball about at pace, but Aggie were resilient and as time went by were carving out a few chances for themselves, but neither team could be clinical enough in the first half, so both teams headed in at half time 0-0.

The 2nd half saw Downderry pushing for that breakthrough goal and were rewarded in the 65th minute when a Rob Bilsborough strike that hit the roof of the net! Aggie immediately upped the pace to get back into the game and were pushing hard to get the equaliser.

3 subs were made and with 10mins remaining were rewarded for all their hard work when a ball played across the goalmouth found Scott Goodchild, who cooly slotted it into the net. Both teams were looking for a winner, but the final whistle blew and so into penalties!
Aggie won 5-3 on pens, with Ian White scoring the winner after Deba Sidhu saved well.
Also successful from the spot were Trevor Wisker, Scott Goodchild, Paul Hutchins and Mark Wade
